God Is Sovereign Creator
The world often claims mankind is the product of evolution, but Scripture teaches we were created by a personal God to love, serve, and enjoy fellowship with Him. The New Testament reveals that Jesus Himself created everything (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16). Therefore He owns and rules all things (Psalm 103:19), and we owe Him absolute allegiance, obedience, and worship.
God Is Holy
God is absolutely and perfectly holy (Isaiah 6:3) and cannot commit or approve of evil (James 1:13). He also requires holiness from us: “You shall be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16).
Mankind Is Sinful
Scripture teaches that all people are guilty of sin: “There is no man who does not sin” (1 Kings 8:46). This does not mean we are incapable of human kindness, but it does mean we are utterly incapable of understanding, loving, or pleasing God on our own (Romans 3:10–12).
Sin Demands a Penalty
Because God is holy and just, all sin must be punished by eternal death (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). Therefore, changing behavior alone cannot solve the problem of sin or remove its consequences.
Jesus Is Lord and Savior
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved” (Romans 10:9). Though God’s justice demands death for sin, His love has provided a Savior who paid the penalty and died for sinners (1 Peter 3:18). Christ’s death satisfied God’s justice, and His perfect life satisfied God’s holiness (2 Corinthians 5:21), enabling God to forgive and save those who trust in Him (Romans 3:26).
The Character of Saving Faith
True faith is always accompanied by repentance from sin—agreeing with God about your sin, confessing it to Him, and choosing to turn from it (Luke 13:3, 5; 1 Thessalonians 1:9). It also involves pursuing Christ (Matthew 11:28–30; John 17:3) and obeying Him (1 John 2:3). It is not enough to affirm facts about Christ; even demons believe God is real (James 2:19) but do not love or obey Him. True saving faith expresses itself in obedience (Ephesians 2:10).
